RICHMOND, Ky.
– The largest crowd in recent memory descended upon Roy Kidd Stadium Saturday evening for the annual Colonel Football Fan Day, just five days before Eastern Kentucky University opens the 2010 football season at Missouri State.

Colonel supporters of all ages walked the sidelines to receive autographs from this year’s team. Attractive team posters, schedule cards and key tags were given to everyone who attended. Chick-Fil-A, a proud sponsor of the event, had plenty of promotional giveaways including its new spicy chicken sandwich and sweet tea.

Prior to the start of the Fan Day activities, season ticket holders were treated to a tour of the football weight room and sports medicine facilities. Season ticket holders were then able to have a meet-and-greet with the 2010 football seniors.

The Colonels will be looking to win their third OVC title in the last four years when they kick off the season Thursday, Sept. 2 at Missouri State. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
