BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Quarterback #T.J. Pryor# (Offensive) and wide receiver Cameron Bailey (Co-Newcomer) came away with adidas OVC Player of the Week honors following Eastern Kentucky University’s improbable 52-48 win at No. 18 Jacksonville State Saturday afternoon.

Pryor led Eastern Kentucky back from a 24-point fourth quarter deficit to top Jacksonville State and claim sole possession of first place in the OVC standings. The junior completed 16-of-26 passes for a season-high 282 yards and a school-record five touchdowns. With EKU trailing 48-24 with 7:25 left in the game, Pryor led the Colonels on scoring drives of 64, 58 and 37 yards over the next 6:01. The Louisville, Ky., native threw touchdown passes to Bailey (60 yards, 6:42 left in the game), sophomore Justin Williams (18 yards, 4:14) and junior Tyrone Goard (37 yards, 1:24) to complete the comeback.

In the process, Pryor moved into second place on EKU’s all-time passing list with 5,055 yards. This marks the third straight week a player from Eastern Kentucky has won the Offensive Player of the Week award.

Bailey, a transfer from the College of the Canyons, tallied his first touchdown as a Colonel Saturday in the road win at JSU. The junior caught five passes for a season-high 106 yards on the afternoon. Three plays after his team fell behind 48-24, Bailey hauled in a 60-yard touchdown pass from Pryor to cut the margin to 48-31 with 6:42 to play. The native of Fort Wayne, Ind., later added a key 23-yard reception on a drive where EKU scored to pull with three points at 48-45.

The other weekly award winners went to Tennessee State’s Antonio Harper (Defensive), Murray State’s Kienan Cullen (Specialist) and Jacksonville State’s Washaun Ealey (Co-Newcomer).

Eastern Kentucky (6-3, 5-1 OVC) now returns home to face second place Tennessee Tech on Saturday, Nov. 12. The game, which is part of EKU Athletics Hall of Fame weekend, is set to begin at 1 p.m.
