RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University football team will turn on the lights at Roy Kidd Stadium for its first two home games of 2011. EKU’s home opener is slated for Sept. 10 against Missouri State at 6 p.m.

The following weekend on Sept. 17, the Colonels host Chattanooga as part of Family Weekend at 6 p.m.

Both home October games will kick-off at 3 p.m. Homecoming is Oct. 22 versus Tennessee State. EKU has won four consecutive Homecoming games, but fell to the Tigers the last time the two teams met back in 2009, 20-17.

EKU then concludes the regular season with two home games in mid-November – Nov. 12 vs. Tennessee Tech and Nov. 19 vs. UT Martin. Those contests are set to begin at 1 p.m.

This is just the third time in the last nine years that Eastern Kentucky has played six home football games.
