LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men’s tennis team dropped its second consecutive match to a nationally-ranked opponent when it fell to No. 7 Kentucky Tuesday evening, 6-0.
Senior
Hugo Klientovsky (No. 2) won the first set of his match, before Alejandro Gomez rallied to win sets two and three.
The Wildcats won the other five singles matches in straight sets. The two teams did not play doubles.
With the win, Kentucky moves to 4-0 while Eastern Kentucky falls to 0-2.
Eastern Kentucky opens its home schedule this Saturday, Jan. 28 with a doubleheader against the University of the Cumberlands (10 a.m.) and Dayton (2 p.m.).
