2009 Scouting Report – Should again push for postseason accolades as the Colonels’ left tackle … a team leader and a coach on the field for the offensive line unit.
At EKU – 2008: Made the move from right tackle to left tackle … started all 12 games … helped team eclipse 300 yards of total offense in seven contests. 2007: Started all 12 games at right tackle … first team offensive line held the opposition without a sack in five games and just one sack in three other contests … helped anchor an offensive unit which produced 199.4 rushing yards per game, third most in the OVC. 2006: Named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference newcomer team … started all 11 games at right tackle … earned the team’s Most Valuable Lineman award … helped the Colonels pile up a season-high 495 yards of offense without allowing a sack against Murray State on Nov. 4. 2005: Took a redshirt season … earned the Colonel Award for his effort in spring drills.
High School – A four-year letterman and two-time all-state performer … finished his career with 294 total tackles, including 14 sacks … played offense as well, racking up 87 receptions and seven scores while averaging 10.4 ypr … also competed in basketball and track and field … averaged 16 ppg and 17 rpg as a senior hoopster … won the Class AA state shot put title with a throw of 54 feet ... an all-state performer in the 110-meter hurdles … a member of the National Honor Society … posted a GPA of 4.0 … chose EKU over James Madison, Villanova and Columbia.
Personal – Son of Tom and Jane Hardman … born on Sept. 13, 1986 … dad was his high school football coach … inducted into EKU’s Chi Alpha Sigma National Athletic Honor Society in 2007 … earned his bachelor’s degree in business in December 2008.
