Alex Pryor is in his fourth year as the Assistant Director of Communications at Eastern Kentucky University, where he oversees all communications and public relations efforts for the women’s basketball, women’s soccer, and tennis programs.

During his time in Richmond, Pryor has also served as EKU’s primary football contact during the 2023 season and assisted several other programs including softball and golf.

Prior to joining EKU, Pryor spent the 2021–22 athletic season at Middle Tennessee State University, serving as an athletics communications contact for the men’s basketball and tennis programs. During his time at MTSU, he managed all digital and social media efforts for the men’s basketball program, generating more than 1.2 million impressions across platforms. He also led communications for the men’s tennis program during its NCAA Tournament run and hosted the Conference USA Championship.

Pryor began his career at the University of Kentucky, where he served as an athletics communications assistant from 2018–21 while completing his undergraduate studies. At UK, he assisted with men’s basketball communications and social media initiatives and served as a secondary contact for the soccer and tennis programs.

Throughout his career, Pryor has been selected to assist with communications efforts at numerous high-profile events, including the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, NCAA Men’s Tennis Tournament, SEC Championships, CUSA Championships, and KHSAA Championships.

Pryor earned a bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Kentucky in 2021. He currently resides in Richmond.
