Isaac Ray currently serves as the Director of Communications at Eastern Kentucky University, a role he has held since November 2023.
He oversees all communications responsibilities for EKU Athletics and serves as the primary media contact for EKU Football and Cross Country/Track & Field. His work focuses on shaping the department’s voice, managing daily media operations, and assisting in creating content that strengthens the EKU brand.
Prior to EKU, Isaac was the Assistant Athletic Director at Texas A&M–Kingsville, where he led a full athletics rebrand that drove significant growth in digital engagement and fan interest. He managed communications, marketing, web strategy, broadcasting, alumni relations, and special events while directing coverage for 18 Division II programs.
Isaac also brings experience from Florida State Athletics, where he supported major national events and served as the primary statistician and secondary media contact for the baseball program.
His earlier work at Campbell University included managing social content, media relations, and event operations for a variety of teams, along with postseason championship coverage including being the softball team's primary contact in 2021 as they made a run to the NCAA Tournament.
He began his career in journalism, reporting for The Sun Newspaper in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania and producing in-depth community stories that sharpened his writing and storytelling skills.
Isaac holds a B.S. in Communication with a minor in sport business from Campbell University and a Master’s in Sport Management from Florida State University.Â
He is married to Brittany Dudley.
