After finishing the first two holes on the front nine with a pair of pars, the Manchester, Ky., native bogeyed each of the next two holes to move to 3-over. Another bogey on the 7th hole pushed him up to 4-over but birdie on the par-3 eighth hole and a par-4 on the final hole allowed Bowling to finish the round at 3-over.
