RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University has begun the sale of season tickets for the 2009 home football season. Single game tickets will go on sale in early August.

Season ticket holders from the 2008 season can guarantee the same seats for the 2009 campaign if they renew their season tickets by July 20. EKU will play its first ever home game on synthetic turf on Sept. 19 against Tennessee Tech. Eastern has four other home dates this fall - Oct. 10 vs. Tennessee State, Oct. 17 vs. UT Martin (Homecoming), Oct. 31 vs. Southeast Missouri, and Nov. 14 vs. Western Carolina.

The EKU football team concluded the 2008 season 8-4 overall while earning the program’s 20th Ohio Valley Conference title and 31st consecutive winning season.
