RICHMOND, Ky.
– More than 300 Colonel Club members, senior student-athletes and EKU coaches gathered on the concourse at Roy Kidd Stadium Thursday evening for the annual Colonel Club Fish Fry. Everyone was treated to fried catfish, pulled pork and a variety of side dishes to celebrate the beginning of the 2010-11 school year.

All Colonel Club members had the chance to sign up for a limited edition football painting by EKU Ticket Manager Mike Park. EKU Athletics Hall of Fame football players Aaron Jones and Myron Guyton reflected on their time wearing maroon. New Colonel Club President Donna Haney gave a short speech before dinner and wished all EKU athletic teams a successful season.

Meanwhile, Judge James Chenault was honored with the Moberly/Spurlock Award which goes to the Colonel Club member who most personifies dedication and commitment of the award’s namesakes, the two founding members of the Colonel Club - Harry Moberly, Sr. and George Spurlock. The award was presented by Harry Moberly, Jr., and his son.
