RICHMOND, Ky. – The Jason Stein Fall Elite Baseball Camp will be held Oct. 17 at Turkey Hughes Field on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University. The camp is for grades 9-12 only. The full cost of the camp is $125.

Stein is beginning his third season as the head baseball coach at EKU. The Colonels have compiled back-to-back winning seasons during Stein’s first two seasons at the helm. Stein has also guided 11 players to All-OVC recognition in two years (six All-OVC players and five OVC All-Freshman players). He has also seen one of his former players selected in the 16th round of 2010 MLB First Year Player Draft by the Colorado Rockies.

The 2009 Fall Elite Camp was very successful in hosting players that would later play college baseball at different levels. There were also two players in attendance that will become part of the EKU baseball team in the fall of 2010. The camp provides high school players with a great opportunity to visit the campus of Eastern Kentucky University, gain valuable instruction from the EKU coaching staff and other college coaches, participate in a pro-style workout and showcase their skills in a controlled game. Campers will be provided with an official EKU 2010 Fall Elite Camp T-shirt and lunch. This camp provides the opportunity for the EKU coaching staff to reevaluate you as a player or evaluate you for the first time as a prospect.
