RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky will face seven-time national champion and No. 1 ranked Penn State on Friday at the Golden Dome Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. PSU has won each of the past two NCAA titles.
EKU's match against the top-ranked Nittany Lions will begin at 4:30 p.m. The Colonels will face Notre Dame and Mississippi State on Saturday. The three opponents at the Golden Dome Invitational have a combined record of 13-5.

Danielle Hicks with 11 and 10 kills respectively Eastern Kentucky picked up its first win of the season by shutting out Northern Kentucky, 3-0, at home on Tuesday.
Johanna Boyer had 18 assists and
Chloe Rojas contributed a match-best 21 digs.
Penn State is 5-0 and has not lost a set yet this season. Last weekend, the Nittany Lions beat No. 21 Colorado and second ranked Stanford in the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge.
Notre Dame (2-4) earned its second win of the season by beating Hofstra, 3-2, in the Seton Hall Classic on Saturday. The Irish have not yet played a home match.
Mississippi State has just one loss in its seven matches. In their six wins, the Bulldogs have only lost one set. Southern Utah beat MSU 3-0 on Aug. 29. Mississippi State has yet to play a road match this season.
Saturday's match against Notre Dame will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the match-up with the Bulldogs will start at 4:30 p.m.
The young EKU team is led by sophomores Sanks and Hicks. Sanks averages 2.7 kills per set while also contributing 2.73 digs per set. Hicks is averaging 2.2 kills per set. Sophomore
Ciera Koons leads the team with 27 blocks while freshman Rojas leads all Colonels with 127 digs.
