At EKU –
2010: Started all 11 games at defensive tackle … finished fourth on the squad with 8.5 tackles for loss … posted a sack and forced fumble in the opener at Missouri State … nearly returned a fumble for a score against Eastern Illinois on Oct. 9 … came away with a key sack on Murray State’s final drive on Oct. 30 … equaled a season high with five tackles in the Austin Peay game on Nov. 20 before leaving the contest with a lower leg fracture.
2009: Started all 11 games at defensive tackle … tied for team lead with 3.5 sacks … finished second on squad with eight tackles for loss … tallied a personal-high seven stops at Murray State on Sept. 26 … posted at least four tackles in six other games … notched 1.5 sacks at Eastern Illinois on Oct. 3 … also involved in sacks against Tennessee Tech (Sept. 19), Murray State and Austin Peay (Oct. 24).
2008: Saw action in five games, mainly on special teams … missed seven games due to a broken foot … recorded two tackles in the win over Morehead State on Sept. 13 … also posted two stops in the NCAA playoffs at Richmond on Nov. 29.
2007: Took a redshirt season.
High School – 2006 team captain and team MVP … honorable mention all-region … second team All-North Fulton … honorable mention All-North Forsyth … 2006 Atlanta Journal-Constitution “Super 11” selection … three time scholar-athlete award winner.
Personal – Son of Larry and Margo Attig … born on Nov. 28, 1988 … earned his bachelor’s degree in communications this past May … inducted into EKU’s Chi Alpha Sigma National Athletic Honor Society in the spring of 2010 … serving as one of the football team’s representatives on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in 2011-12.
