2013 Scouting Report – An excellent addition to the backfield … can be used as an effective blocker or as a runner.

At EKU – 2012: Took a redshirt season.

At Miami (Ohio) – 2010: Began the season at running back before moving to linebacker … played in 10 games, mainly on special teams … collected three tackles and forced a fumble against Ohio. 2009: Saw action in six games with a start against Northern Illinois … caught six passes for 78 yards and ran for another 26 yards against the Huskies … posted seven carries for 43 yards, including a 29-yard burst and two-yard score, at Western Michigan.

High School – Earned 10 letters in football (four), wrestling (four) and track & field (two) … earned all-league and all-region honors as a running back … recorded a 10.9 time in the 100-meter dash … as a junior wrestler, he notched a 39-7 record, won the district title and qualified for the state tournament.

Personal – Son of Robert and Sheral Lawson … born on Oct. 10, 1990 … his dad played at Iowa, then professionally for the Dallas Cowboys and in Europe.
