Cross Country – Earned All-America honors for the second consecutive season after placing 26th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. … led EKU to a 15th-place finish at the national championships, the highest finish in program history … also led the Colonels to their first-ever NCAA Southeast Region Championship by placing third out of 239 runners at the event with a 10K time of 28:43.6 … named All-Southeast Region for the fourth consecutive season … Named OVC Male Runner of the Year for the for the fourth consecutive season … became only the fourth runner ever (joining fellow Colonels Grant Colehour, John Nganga and Jacob Korir) to win four consecutive individual OVC titles, defeating a field of 92 runners at the OVC Championships with an 8K time of 24:14.06 … during the regular season, led EKU to its highest national ranking in program history (No. 11) …was named the USTFCCCA National Runner of the Week on Sept. 16 after winning the Bluegrass Cross Country Invitational with an 8K time of 23:35.60 … earned OVC Runner of the Week honors three times during the season.

2012-13:
Cross Country –
Won the NCAA Southeast Region Championships, covering the 10K course in a time of 29:32.37 … was named the Southeast Region Male Runner of the Year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association … finished 40th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in 30:02.06 to earn his first career cross country All-American honors ... won the OVC Cross Country Championships for the third consecutive year with an 8K time of 24:01.75, the fastest 8K time in OVC Championships history … named the OVC Male Cross Country Runner of the Year for the third consecutive year … finished in the 1op-15 in every meet in which he ran before the NCAA Championships … named the OVC Cross Country Runner of the Week twice during the fall, once after winning the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic and again after finishing seventh out of 163 competitors at the highly-competitive Notre Dame Invitational … following the collegiate cross country season, finished second in the Under-23 men’s race at the European Cross Country Championships in Budapest.
Track and Field – Named the OVC Male Indoor Track Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year … was named the OVC Male Runner of the Week three times during the winter … posted OVC-best times in the 3,000 meters (7:57.93) and 5,000 meters (13:48.47) at the Washington Husky Invitational in Seattle in early Feb. … ran the third-fastest mile time (4:06.66) in the conference at the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet on Jan. 25 … won his 10th and 11th individual conference titles at the OVC Indoor Championships, finishing first in the mile with a time of 4:11.50 and the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:18.40 … also served as the anchor leg on the distance medley relay team that took second with a time of 10:03.05 … redshirted the outdoor season.

2011-12:
Cross Country -
Won the OVC Cross Country Championships and was named the OVC Male Cross Country Runner of the Year for the second consecutive year … finished sixth out of 218 runners with a 10K time of 30:05.1 at the Southeast Region Championships to lead the EKU men to their first-ever team berth in the NCAA Championships … named to the All-Southeast Region team for his performance … placed 47th out of 252 competitors at the NCAA Championships, missing out on All-American honors by just seven spots … won three straight meets, including the Navy Invitational which featured 102 of some of the top runners in the country, to open the cross country season and helped lead the EKU to a No. 17 ranking in the country, the highest national ranking in program history ... was named OVC Male Cross Country Runner of the Week three times during the fall.
Track and Field - Earned first team All-American honors in the outdoor 10,000 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, finishing eighth in the event with a time of 29:09.08 … also earned second team All-American honors in the outdoor 5,000 meters after placing 16th in Des Moines with a time of 14:08.68 … qualified for the NCAA East Regional Preliminary Rounds with a 28:35.91 10,000 meters at the Stanford Payton Jordan Invitational and a 13:50.64 5,000 meters at the Raleigh Relays … the 10K time was the second-fastest in school history, the 5K time was the third-fastest in school history … won his ninth career individual conference title in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:50.68 at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships … named a second team All-American in the indoor 5,000 meters after placing 11th in the event at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Nampa, Idaho with a time of 13:57.74 … named the OVC Male Indoor Track Athlete of the Year … won the 3,000 meters (8:35.73) for third straight year and was also a member of the winning men’s distance medley relay team (9:54.42) at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships … broke school records in three events during the indoor season: the mile (4:02.90) at the Alex Wilson Invitational and the 3,000 meters (7:53.99) and 5,000 meters (13:46.06) at the Washington Husky Classic.

2010-11:
Cross Country -
Won the OVC Cross Country Championships and was named the OVC Male Cross Country Runner of the Year … Finished third at the Southeast Region Championships and became the fourth Colonel in the last four years to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. … placed 49th out of 246 runners at the NCAA Championships, finishing nine spots and less than seven seconds short of All-American status … named OVC Cross Country Runner of the week four times during the regular season.
Track and Field - Won four OVC track titles during the spring season … finished first in the mile (4:17.83) and 3,000 meters (8:29.22) at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships and the 1,500 meters (3:51.94) and 5,000 meters (14:33.17) at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships … ran a personal-best, and the second fastest time in school history, in the 5,000 meters when he finished second at the Indiana Polytan Invitational with a time of 13:54.37 … named OVC Track Athlete of the week four times during the spring.

2009-10:
Track and Field -
Stormed onto the OVC track and field scene by winning two individual titles at the OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships … won the mile with a time of 4:13.42 and won the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:41.39 … for his efforts, he was named the OVC Co-Male Freshman of the Year for the indoor season … provisionally qualified (but ultimately did not qualify) for the NCAA Indoor National Championships when he won the 3,000 meters at the Notre Dame Alex Wilson Invitational with a time of 7:59.20 … his time was the second fastest indoor 3,000 meters time in school history and less than a second behind Jacob Korir’s school record of 7:58.25 … ran the second fastest outdoor 5,000 meters time in school history (behind Korir’s 13:29.12) when he placed 16th at the talent-laden Stanford Invitational with a time of 14:02.61 …later beat that time when he nearly won the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:01.71 at the prestigious Penn Relays, losing to William and Mary’s Lewis Woodard at the finish line by just 0.2 seconds … was named OVC Male Track Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Penn Relays ... won this third career OVC title when he won the 5,000 meters at the OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 15:00.37 … was named the OVC Male Freshman of the Year for the outdoor season … did not compete at the NCAA East Region Championships due to an injury.

High School Accomplishments: Finished 11th in the junior race at the 2009 European Cross Country Championships in Dublin, Ireland ... placed seventh in the 10,000 meters at the 2009 European Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships ... earned spots on the 2009 European junior outdoor track and field rankings in both the 5,000 meters and the10,000 meters ... finished the 2009 season ranked sixth in the 5,000 meters and second in the 10,000 meters with personal best times of 14:18.17 and 29:58.33, respectively.
