Baseball Stadium Project

Baseball Stadium Project
Eastern Kentucky University is in the planning stages to construct a state-of-the-art baseball stadium that will serve as a cornerstone to The Campus Beautiful. This venture would elevate EKU Baseball to the upper echelon for facilities in the region.

The new baseball stadium will be located at the current home of the Colonels, adjacent to Alumni Coliseum. The name of this pristine park is still to be determined; however, the playing surface will remain Turkey Hughes Field.

Colonel supporters will enjoy several new amenities while watching their favorite team. Featuring a majestic entrance, exquisite landscaping and a unique obelisk, the facility will offer chairback seating, as well as bleachers and two patio areas. Fans will also enjoy an on-site concession stand and restrooms.

Renovated dugouts and bullpens will enhance the playing experience for EKU and its visitors. The refurbished field, netted back stop and new outfield fence will also add to the modern feel. Although lighting is not included in the original renderings, it will be considered with appropriate financial support.

Several recognition opportunities are available at the new facility. In addition to stadium naming rights, the press box, main entrance obelisk, home and visitor dugouts, individual chairbacks, and courtyard pillars can be secured by a corporation or an individual.

The EKU Baseball Stadium Project is subject to legislative approval. A timeline for construction will be announced at a later date.
